Phil and Alicia. Three dogs. One mission: give every independent groomer a business that runs on autopilot.
Why we built WagDesk
WagDesk was born out of a simple frustration. We're Phil and Alicia — a husband and wife team from St. Louis, Missouri, and proud owners of three dogs: Xena, Angel, and Kevin (our chihuahua).
We kept watching talented groomers lose clients not because of their work — which was always amazing — but because they couldn't answer their phones while doing it. They were brilliant with dogs, and exhausted by admin.
We're not groomers. We're software builders who love dogs. So we built WagDesk — an AI system that handles every call, every follow-up, and every review request automatically. The same way a full-time receptionist would, except it works 24 hours a day and costs less than a tank of gas per week.
Our mission: every groomer deserves a business that runs as beautifully as the dogs they send home.
The charity commitment
$5 from every active monthly subscription is donated to the Animal Protective Association (APA) where we adopted our dogs. That's not marketing — that's the deal we made with ourselves the day we started WagDesk.
Every customer who keeps WagDesk running makes it possible to help another rescue dog find a home. We publish our donation receipts annually for full transparency.
